Who would have thought that these could provides such interesting architectural features. I am impressed. They are colourful and seem to be fairly functional. Is it because they are naturally stable that they seem not to be effected by the earth tremors? I can understand your dislike of all the tourists, but all the jobs they bring are no doubt welcome to some of the native kiwis.

Shipping containers are cheap, plentiful and very easy to reinforce with more steel. Also they're a good size for shops, cafes etc and can be clipped together easily. It's like lego for grownups
I'm fairly surprised that tourists are still flooding into the city to be honest, but I guess most people think that it's "all over" because the most recent really damaging earthquakes were almost a year ago. I'm delighted they are coming and hope they don't take home messages of gloom. With places like the Container Mall and the city suburb of Addington taking off in such a big way, we should be right
