I was amazed to discover that so many words and phrases
in our language make reference to animal behaviors
and appearances
Please feel free to offer your own suggestions.
I'll add them in.

Fit as a flea even. I'm even past bothering with preview now.
What could be preview be if it were an animal?

Kite
Fly like a kite
It's a bitch, but enough for now.
Ps Have we had 'catty'? Or 'kitty', for that matter?

We haven't had wood louse.
Oh hang on..'you louse'
It's getting hard to think of an animal we don't use.
And the negativity thing is unfair on animals.
Eg Poodle.
Poodles are swimming agressive working dogs traditionally...and my grandmother's poodle was anything but...

Just one more (positive) suggestion:
As graceful as a gazelle
I'd better stop now, before I really start to bug someone.
Ps I bet there's a list with thousands of these somewhere on Google...

Thanks guys!
Yeah, I was awake half the night as they kept
coming to me. Even got up twice and added a few,
but didn't see these replies until this morning.
Yes, there are probably thousands!
Esepecially when we start using 'like' or 'as'.
It gets endless with similes.
Worms its way into our minds as they breed like rabbits.
The musical references would stack to the moon!
Good point from Effers that they start to get nasty and
unfair to animals. So I'm gonna take her advice to stay
positive and stick with what we have for a while.
And I gotta take a break from it all.
Seriously, it's making me loony.
