That is true, I can add things if you think they are vital Mol. However, it does seem to read as a workable guide to the whole thing. It's many years now since I made any, but it seemed to include everything that I remembered and more.


The only thing I do remember, is that I made more dough than was needed for the actual house, and let the children use this to make star cookies to hang on the tree. We baked them, with holes cut out beforehand, so we could hang them. I tried a few with large circles cut out of the centres too, and boiled sweets melted inside while they were cooking, to make stained glass effect stars.

My daughter is grown up with children of her own now, and remembering the happy times when we made these things together is a treasure. I'm glad to hear about other families with similar traditions.
