Trees are like poems

Interesting piece.
Well written, with a nice detachment from
any religious bias.
smiley - ok

Being the shallow thinker I am, and always on
the lookout for the easiest answers and solutions,
I kept wanting to see some mention of that poem,
"I think that I shall never see
a poem lovely as a tree..."

But I guess there's no real connection.
Not without some deeper than necessary exploration
of Kilmer's psyche re: conversion to Catholicism.

BTW, small typo in the last para, an IT that looks
like it ought to be an IS. "Human cleverness.. as
...Walker would have said, IT the root..."

Oh, and yeah. In spite of jingliness of Mr Kilmer's poem, I think trees are like poems, too. smiley - smiley
