It's a bit short, but I'm not sure what else I can say, really. Ideas welcome!
I'll go through and add more links in the next few days.

I think it'd benefit from having maybe 2-3 sentences explaining each of the thematic divisions, and why what's contained in them is so important.
Good taster entry as it is, I definitely want to know more!

This is great Elentari, I have said before that Entries don't have to be long. Much rather to have relevant facts and links to other existing Entries in the Guide than make an Entry longer just for the sake of it. As long as all the important points are covered.
a few suggestions:
Could you add, for the sake of those who have never visited, where the British Library is? ie in London
One of the permanent galleries at the British Library, in London, is the...
The collection, which numbers more than 200 [?]
[artifacts/folios/manuscripts]
Each document is accompanied by a card explaining briefly what it is.
I think this might be a little clearer if you were to rewrite this eg
A card, with brief explanatory notes, accompany each document.
visitors can listen to certain things, >>>>> visitors can listen to certain recordings,
well-worth >>> well worth
An excellent choice for an Entry, and if we don't have many of the things mentioned in here already written about, it would be a fantastic starting place for some of these things to be the subject of new Entries.
Thanks for submitting this!

This looks good, Elentari.
You have "including copies of The Spanish Tragedy by Thomas Kyd and". And what?
A GuideML thing: at the moment you are using and to mark out your list items. Since each item is rather large, you should use and . These will space them better.

Right, I've added links and made the improvements suggested. The only thing I haven't done really is explained why the documents in each section are so important. I don't really feel qualified to do that.
What I have done though is link each section to the corresponding page on the British Library's website, which at least says what else is in that section.

Also, if anyone fancies a challenge, we don't seem to have an entry on Leonardo Da Vinci and the John Lennon entry is hopelessly inadequate.

I've been there and sen it all:

I always wondered whether I should write an entry about it but decided it was too huge a project. Brave, Elentari!

This would make a perfect introductory page for an amazing h2g2 university project
I've visited the gallery a couple of times and I'll visit it a few more times, I'm sure. To see famous literature like Jane Austen or Charlotte Bronte written in their own hand is very moving. You feel you somehow know the author better as a result.
Then there are documents which bring history alive: the Magna Carta, Captain Scott's diary.
But the best exhibits have to be the illuminated manuscripts and sacred texts. Just what is it that makes monks spend years of their lives meticulously copying out the gospels and illustrating them with such vibrancy?
It's a very special place, and, as you say, admission's free.

That's a good idea, Icy, but I won't be taking on a task that large!
It is a special place, you're right. We're very lucky to have it all in this country.

I'm sure there's a word for this. It's not quite an anteroom, as that's a room leading to a larger one. It's not really an annex, as that's normally an attached building. Any ideas?

Yes, you're right. I can't think of it either.
I'll reword it for now - I think "a small room opening from the side of the main gallery" will cover it until someone remembers the word!

Maybe a side-room or a side-gallery.

Thanks h5ringer! I'm not sure what happened there, the Guide ML was showing it as LINK HERF instead of LINK HREF but it didn't come up as a Guide ML error. Very strange! Sorted now though.

I just searched for HERF, and found a handful of unedited entries, but none in the EG, fortunately.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
