Sometimes, it really *is a small world.

I was having a late lunch (as in after 1 pm) together with a colleague at a restaurant not far from the office, when I suddenly heard somebody calling me by my childhood nickname.

Surprised, I looked up - and it was my brother! Together with one of *his colleagues.

The reason I wasn't expecting to see him is because he and his family live in a city 118 km (73 miles) away.

It turned out that one of the private high schools in the district he's responsible for is expecting a visit from the school inspection board later today, and he was there to discuss it with the headmaster (said colleague).

Big smile, big hug, introductions made, hands shaken.

'Say hi to the family from me!' I called when we left.

'I will!' he replied.

I love serendipity. What a lovely surprise.

I met someone in Athens, loose group of people went to Crete. We mooched about,picked up some work for a couple of days, cleaning cars, slept on a beach moved on, hitch hiked together until we picked up different sorts of work and went seperate ways with a Nice to be knowing you and and s'pose we had known each other for two weeks or so

few months later in a hostel in A'dam, I was sorting out my top bunk and the person on the bottom bunk came in and said 'Blimey (well not quite) how's you doing Peanut'
