here's my family's variation on that

separate the whites from the yolks, each yolk in a different teacup or small container
whip up the whites to a nice meringue, salting and peppering if so wished
form nests on greased cookie sheet and put one yolk in the middle of each
sprinkle some paprika on top
bake around 350, watching them until they are done to your liking
just before done, switch to broil to brown the nests

spatula on to plates and serve mmmm

not that I've ever split an egg beforeI ain't no chef

ooopsies i forgot
you make toast and put the meringue nests on the toast
you dont have to grease the cookie sheet

and as for splitting the eggs?
if you wet your hands with water first,
you can break the egg and let the whites filter thru your fingers into the bowl
and keep the yolk in your hand.... verrrrrrrrry delicately hehe

That sounds like sort of a guilty pleasure, there...is it even legal in Yorkshire?
