As far as I'm aware, the yikes do still get recorded and handled by the mods.

I had a similar problem yesterday. I was taking a quick peek at the site from work, during a brief lull. I was not signed in and saw something I thought warranted referring to the mods- given that I am a mod and the others would recognize my name and email address, I didn't bother logging in first (because when I log in, I am redirected to my PS, instead of logged in and then back to the thread I am in, like what used to happen).

Once I reported the post, I saw a message that said I'd be sent a confirmation email, and I should use that email to activate the yikes. I never received that confirmation email so I wasn't ever able to activate it. What ended up happening was an hour or so later when I had time again, I logged in and yikesed again.

Perhaps you could follow it up then Psychocandy because I think it might be more than a technical issue if the yikes system isn't working for people who are not registered.

I thought that because my email addy is recognisable and I had signed Peanut that someone might have hoiked me out of the confirmation pile. There should be two of mine knocking about, a proper yikes and a test yikes.

Yes, thanks Peanut. I might not have said anything, until I realized you had experienced the same issue. I've had problems with not receiving all of my incoming email messages lately and wrote it off as related to that.

Pastey and are actually looking into this right now- as I type he is hard at work. There will be a follow-up post once a solution has been sorted.

Follow up solutions always nice but don't be worrying on my behalf.
I was getting naggy because I wasn't sure if it was a bug or just being put down to moderation issue, if you see what I mean.

I was also doubting if I was getting things right, I'm terrible for putting my email addy in right so I didn't know if you wre getting them but I wasn't getting the validation emails. That is what I put it down to before especially as on one occasion I had had some but last night I was sober.

Still quite capable of putting a wrong addy in though

Well, here's the follow up, it's sort of fixed. There's a bit of a glitch that I've put a patch over

All anonymous yikes's will now be dealt with.

Always doing what I can

Since we weren't aware of the issue till today, there's a backlog of about 3 months to sort through. The mods will deal with them all as quickly as we can, but please bear with us.
