This is Reefgirl, my name is not showing up in conversations all I'm seeing is eyes

This is happening to a number of people (not me, however
). It's got something to do with suffixes and name changes and so on. I remember the problem starting before the change, when Barlesque was introduced. The bug has certainly been reported, and I expect someone will be along presently with more information about possible work-arounds.

I've seen a couple of workarounds mentioned. One is for everyone to use alabaster, but that seems a bit drastic. The other is (using Settings), to have your name as your suffix as well as your name, if that makes sense. I have a feeling that even that is a bit unreliable.

A suffix was the BBC's way of letting researchers lengthen their names. It's now a field in the Settings page. You enter a suffix and it will appear after your name... in an ideal world.

That was it, I did change my Suffix from No Like New h2 to Likes New h2, maybe that was the bug that needs squashing
