When I click remove this entry from my journal it doesn't move it to my convsation list it unsubs me completely.

This didn't before did it? I have only recently started writing in my journal

If I resub through a friends space it puts it back in my journal

It has always done that as far as I know. I lost a few journal entries that way before I figured it out.

Yes, it's the way it always has been. Clicking the remove link does two things: 1) it removes the post from your userpage and 'more journals' page, and 2) it unsubscribes yourself.
But it doesn't delete the thread, it doesn't hide the thread, and it doesn't remove it from the conversation lists of other people already subscribed to the thread. That has over the years led to confusion many times, and it should (at least) be explained better in the help pages.
If you post to the thread again or resubscribe, it does put it back in your journal.
