Sorry about this. Thank you for sharing. I had no idea that Canadians were susceptible
to tornadoes, which I associate more with the prarie provinces in the west, rather than Ontario. I hope there were no lives lost. Did you guys have any warning of it beforehand?

Tornadoes are not unknown in Ontario by any means although I can recall only a couple of others hitting populated places in the last few decades.
The man in the boom used to load salt into ships docked at the mine lost his life. He used the little warning time he had to get the boom off the ship in case the ship was sunk.... When one sees the damage all around one cannot help but wonder how and why many more were not fatally injured.
The Met Office issued a warning 12 minutes before it hit and of course it was observed (and filmed) for a few minutes as it came across the Lake but the first I knew of it was when the house began to be bombarded by ice chunks.

Thanks, I am glad that there were so few causulties. That poor man died a hero. I hope the ship or gantry owner compensated his family.
