Since the BBC and Hat Trick productions, the makers of Have I Got News For You, saw fit to asked Angus Deayton to step down as host of BBC ONE's satirical news quiz with immediate effect the quality of the programme has deteriorated beyond belief. Tonight I watched with shock, horror and dismay, Anne Robinson's feable attempt at smooth satire. Poor timing and wooden delivery, she relied completely on cheap jibs and base humour. And worst still appeared to read every line from the script.
To say that "it is felt by all concerned that continuing stories in the media about Angus' private life have made him the subject of headlines rather than a commentator on them. This has made his position as host of the topical news quiz untenable." Is a joke!
For years this show poked fun at Ian Hislop and those Private Eye's libel cases. Did Ian's notoriety harm him or the show? No, in fact it made a celebrity of him and a success of the show. It's a shame that I for one will not be tuning in to watch another one until the BBC brings back Angus Deayton.

Fraid this isn't the right place for your entry Researcher 208747. It's better suited to the Alternative Writing Workshop Writing-Alternative, or possibly <./>ThePost</.>
A quick read of these pages will explain why: PeerReview, Writing-Beginners and Writing-Guidelines
And if you write an introduction on your Personal Space, one of h2g2's ACE's will officially welcome you to the community and give you more useful links.

Hi Gosho, I suspect there is a "Bring Back Angus" conspiracy going on. Have alook at thread http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F100411?thread=220774&post=2579980#p2579980 See what you think. Stuart

I suspect that there would be another reason to request a move back to entry, Gosho and that is because there is already another entry on the subject. However, before seconding, I remember what was said about newbies and giving a short period of grace before requesting such a move.
Researcher 208747, there are at least two good reasons why this entry is misplaced here and I would suggest that you would be best advised to move is. It might be better suited to <./>Askh2g2</.>. You can remove it by going in to PeerReview and clicking on the remove button. You could then resubmit it to either the Alternative Writing Workshop or Ask h2g2 as above, where it would be better suited and where you would most likely get a better response.
