I've always loved Inspector Maigret but don't often get to see him on Canadian Television. Would love to know the name of the music which is used in the 90s productions. Can anyone help?

Hi...
If you don't mind waiting for a little while, I will have a look at one of the websites and see if I can get that info...
Actually I might need that info myself as I intend to revamp/update this entry in a near future so that it can eventually be Edited Guide Entry material...
Plus, this entry was written _before_ the radio programme was aired so now it should be possible to get a link to the recording of it as well...
Hmmmm... More updating to be done that I thought but it should be worth it...
Anyway, back soon with hopefully the info you wanted....

Does anyone remember a song sung in Maigret (where Maigret was sitting in an outside cafe with his wife - he was investigating a murder in nearby maisonnette) which was sung by a man (he was playing a guitar) which was also sung in Poirot.

Jacoba... Still nothing on the music title front...
Lots on other things regarding Maigret or _even_ his wife and her different first names [] but the title or even the composer of the music for the 90's series seems to be still a mystery...
I almost thought I craked it when I saw something about a Welsh composer who did some stuff for Granada and Maigret was mentioned, but it was only regarding some incidental music and it was for 6 episodes only...
The others were about BBC radio shows...
If I could get at least the name of composer of that music I might be able to track what they've done... A long shot but could be fruitful eventually...
It seems that some drastic measures are needed... I will try to go to a local video shop and look at the credits on the back of the box and see if I can see the composer's name...
Kat... That would help if you could give the title for the episode you're talking about... I will have a look at one of the websites but it is not much to start with unfortunately...
Talk soon...

Loup but sadly it was at least three years since the last time I saw Maigret on UK Drama or was it Hallmark?
All I remember is that the first two words are Je voudrais then dah dah dee, dah dah day. It is a very sad sounding but very haunting and beautiful song.

Kat...
Should be an old song as it was in Poirot as well...
Will try the search engine on the site where I found Serge gainsbourg' lyrics... We never know, could be fruitful...
Back later...
