Sep 5, 2004 - wow so much has happened since then. Better late than never 
I'd signed up to the noesis forums, with an interest in the techy side also - I'm assuming the two aren't mutually exclusive?

Not at all. Much of the arrangements are happening on various Noesis threads, but they're not compulsory - when the great switchover happens I hope to be running the scheme entirely on hootoo.
