Temporary Guru gathering page 2.0
Created | Updated Sep 12, 2011
Hi.
You'll have been directed over here if you expressed an interest in the Guru1 scheme over the last decade or so.
Things have moved on a little since I originally set up this page. I had hoped to keep all the Guru stuff on-site, for simplicity, but there are a few things that will be happening during the changeover that aren't for general, public consumption...
If you want to be a part of the secret gang, you need to do the following:
- Sign up for an account at noesis2
- Post the user name of your noesis account in the "noesis User Names" thread below
- Pour yourself a and wait. I'll see to it that your user account is "authenticated" to allow you to see the technical forums over there.
If all goes well, I'll see you over there soon.
Remember, things will get a bit confusing during the handover, but I believe that when we're all settled down again I will be in a position to hand out proper "Guru" badges as required. Just don't forget that the whole point of being a Guru is to help others - your badge is a way of flagging up your willingness to answer questions and help out with technical problems. Nobody expects you to know the answer to every question, just to be prepared to find the answer in the Help pages or find someone else who knows. Communication skills are as important as technical ability...
