I am not quite sure what this website is about. I am rather confused. Could someone please explain the purpose of such a website. Thank you.

It's a Guide to life, the universe and everything. For instance, take a look at whatever is to the left of you. Is it something that other people might like to know more about?
It's not too complicated once you get the hang of it. 
But yes, it's pretty confusing at first.

"We are Researchers for 'The Guide', the idea is we all contribute to this site building it into a Guide to life, the universe and everything.
This is not so much as an encyclopedia as well a guide helping you on the way. It is vaguely based on the ideas of Douglas Noel Adams (DNA) as he discribed it in his story 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy'.
