I'm new, having just landed here after being forced to read an article on lighting design - have to say that it was the funniest thing I've read in ages and decided to join in the fun.
I feel like I've landed from another planet (well Wales actually) so maybe someone could tell me what I should do now.

Hi Purple Mei
I have left you a welcome message on your Personal Space that should hopefully help you settle in.
h2g2 is a big place - and although there are road signs giving directions, what usually happens is that we intend visiting one place and get distracted by all the other things to see on the way there - and then forget where were going!! 
Anytime you get stuck - just ask for help and anyone will be happy to lend a hand.
