Background info: Small town Scotland and Bi - they, as you rightly point out, do not mix.
My openly gay friend thought I was jumping on the bandwagon, just saying it to be cool and cashing in on the attention he got when he came out! How wrong was he? Thus I was no where near brave enough to tell my straight friends or family.
We do get a raw deal, we don't say it to be cool or whatever. It's who we are - deal with it.

Thanks!
One of my friends recently came out as gay. Her friends made a complete fool of her and made fun of her, it was so horrible. Everyone stuck up for her. When her so called friends were making jokes behind her back(which she did eventually pick up on), there were other people who didn't even like her, who were sticking up for her. It was great. They were'nt even supposed to know, but caught it on the grapevine. I was impressed. A friend of mine who doesn't really like her, and makes fun of her a lot, stuck up 4 her in a big dramatic scene at school. It was great. Anyways, I've just realised how confusing this is gonna sound, so I'm stopping.
The point is, even when a few bad apples are present, the shinyness of the rest will shine on!
Love U!

That's such a fantastic phrase: "even when a few bad apples are present, the shinyness of the rest will shine on!"
I'll probably end up liberally "borrowing" it
And as for confusing, I regularly confuse myself so it's a nice change when someone else attempts it (and it wasn't really that confusing)

Yeah, friends in Scotland are great. Currently doing an exchnage in Germany and the acquaintances I've made here aren't that great. Cultural differnces, I guess.
You'll have to excuse me I'm away to rant for a little bit now: I was in the town today with other exchange students and although we're in Germany they use me to practice their english, it's not too good, but they make an effort and it so happens that it a local AIDS fundraising/awareness charity day and so I stop and donate, I always do. But, oh my gawd, the people I was with two of them (a Swede and an Italian) got really angry about it. Why? And I quote "Do not give money to that. The illness only affects bad men." Well, was I pissed off or what? I stormed off - they'll have to find someone else to learn english from now. End of rant, for your patience.
And I've already borrowed your "shiny apple phrase" I used it over in the compliment your fellow researchers thread, I credited you though.

PS What's with your name? There's gotta be some significance.

Emm, not much significance.
I'm a big fan of Buffy, and I just thought..well why aint there guys?
I mean, it would only make sense, right? And if all that mumbo jumbo was real, the slayer would have a fit body for fighting, and a soul to match. So why couldn't that be a guy? Guys are naturally physically stronger than women, no offence of-coarse, so why wouldn't the sex of the slayer b completely random?
Plus, i like the other interpretation of being a "man slayer", i.e. slayer of men. Its like the sexy me version of, man eater, the sexy had three men for lunch kinda womans tittle.
i'm gabbing
i have no idea what i'm talking about!
