Gift giving has little to do with Jesus in the first place

Okay, yes, Christmas is the celebration of Jesus' birthday...but the whole idea of giving gifts has nothing to do with Jesus or God. The idea of Santa Claus came from a man named Nicholas (who i am not sure is technically a saint in the church, but he's usually called 'St. Nick'). This man went from house to house giving gold pieces to poor families because he was so nice...Jesus didn't have anything to do with that (but yes, Nicholas may have done it for Jesus, but that still doesn't mean Jesus did this)...
So, i think it's okay for atheists or non-christians to give gifts and such.
But, what about the three wisemen, they gave gifts to Jesus, so it comes from them...okay, so it may, but still, they gave gifts to Jesus as a birthday present...just like everybody else in the world does...
