Holidays aren't about Religion

Holidays aren't about religion any more ask any child about Christmas and the first word that springs to mind is either Santa, presents or chocolate etc. Jesus is now just an excuse for care-free bingeing. And Easter now Easter is just about eggs

Regardless of what it's called, it's still the celebration of Saturnalia and the Winter Solstice, right down to the date.
If it were really a Christian celebration, why would people have Christmas trees? What Christian meaning is there to the Christmas tree?
And why would it be on December 25th, when it is known that Jesus was not born at that time of year?
And most of all, why did Jesus not tell us to celebrate it, like he told us to commemorate the last supper?

And Easter is the festival to Eastarte, the goddess of spring who was portrayed as a bunny and brought new life to the Earth in spring, represented by eggs.
