That was wonderful. It was so in depth! YAY! I hadn't even known about the moderators.
For foreign language finals I believe they are pretty much all the same (consisting of an oral and written exam. Also 4 years at least of foreign language must be taken. Perhaps that should be stressed?)
Also, IB headquarters are in Wales, right? Ok. Now what are A2s? In the U.S. IB is most comprable to AP (and not so close in Florida education either).
Also, at the end you wrote a) a link which doesn't work (I'm not sure if external links from h2g2 actually work in plain text, but iff they do you would certainly have to type http://www.ibo...etc.)And you also typed your name at the end--it is listed along the right side of the entry, so no need to type it (I'm not sure if you're supposed to or not, though).
All in all, VERY good and it was really well written. Thanks!

Hey Quille
On the gentle suggestion from a scout, I have just taken a crash-course in GuideML and it now looks much much better. A Bit frustrating at the start but then I figured out that the guide and the body tag had to g in first (I aint a html person here! lol). But the links now work (i hope).
As for the foreign lenguage aspect, over here in my college there was the choice of taking a language from scratch (ab initio) or, as you say, from a background knowledge of the language.
The IB headquarters, I have no idea where they are but I do know that exam papers go flying across the world to get marked (maths papers to Greece, biology to Norway or somewhere, it is just so widespread).
A-Levels have recently been split into two different qualifications A/S levels (advanced subsidiary level) and A2 Levels (Full A-levels). Both of these steps are one year long and thus the total A-level courses are designed for two years, as a springboard and general qualification into university. Of course, there are alternatives but I aint gonna write about those (cos I'm not doing em ).
Speak to you soon Quille!
