May I, on behalf of the Post Team and your regular readers, thank you for all your hard work for us over the past almost 3 years. You will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
We look forward to reading your Guide Entries and comments and wish you well in all your future endeavours - including the occasional 'special' article you may just provide every now and again.

Not fair! You can't go. This is always the first thing I read in the post (see? The front page isn't even up yet and I'm here ), and in my personal opinion the best regular column here (better than that crappy sport one anyway). I'll miss having a column to violently agree with on the issues of the day.

And as a regular reader, I'd like to say thanks for all your hard work over the last 78 "Notes". Reliably topical and entertaining, sometimes controversial, always worth reading, will definitely be missed. Look forward to seeing what those Guide Entries in waiting are about.

Absolutely agree. 'Notes' always the first thing I read.
Thanks loads Ormy - here's a loo brush for you in recognition of your fantastic column. I always read it. Okay sometimes I don't agree with it (it'd be a boring world if we all agreed) - but it always brightens up my Thursday Morning Toast and Marmalade-a-thon (closely followed by the rest of the 'Post').
I'm gonna miss the column too. Thanks for writing it.

Ditto, similar and likewise. Always a pleasure to read and I shall look forward to anything else you can find the time to write.

Thursday mornings just won't be the same without your column, Ormy. It's always the first thing in the post that I read, and I'm sure will be sorely missed by many people.
Thanks for providing us with 78 thought-provoking editions of your wisdom

Sincere thanks to you all. Your appreciation is much appreciated.
It is a wrench to put an end to the weekly 'Notes', but it really had become a headache trying to find the time to fit in the hours of writing that it took - and it looks as if I'm going to get busier still in the near future.
No promises, but I would like to think that there may yet be another 'Notes' at some point. I'd like to give the 'Post' a Christmas present!

Ormy is leaving.
I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise for the lack of 45 words recently but I'm intending to find some time to get back to writing them again soon.
Bye Ormy this has been a great read through the years. But I can understand the need for a break.

Another goodbye and thank you. I've enjoyed the Notes ever since I found the Post. Consistently thought provoking and relevant.
Hope everything goes fine for you

Ditto. I can't say more than what's been said, but that's laziness. Yours is the first one I look at laugh at (or, I should say, laugh with). It's great. As we say goodbye to Angus, so we say goodbye to Ormy. Just without the cocaine and the prostitutes for the latter.

Tsk. Well, at least you're taking a short break after one of your more agreeable "Notes...."
So long, and thanks for all the arguing
