It started as an accident
He fell from there one day
Was trodden on and broken
But on the sill does stay
My boyfriend will not fix him
Prefers him in this state
Says that snails are evil
But broken ones are great
I bought him from the poundshop
To brighten up the room
To sit and watch the world go by
And chase away the gloom
But now he merely sits there
Broken looking sad
And then I ask my boyfriend
If snails are really all that bad
