After that insightful interview, I must say that I'm not so much reassured as convinced that, whatever happens, we're going to continue to be as insane as ever. There's not a dime's worth of difference between the pair of you loons.
Thank you both for the best quarter hour I've spent all day.

I seriously don't know how you do it, Awix.
This made me roar with laughter - can't wait for the next.

Welcome back, Mr. Inquisitor.
My word! The impending move of h2g2 HAS brought out the worms from the woodwork.

Oh, OK. I guess you're quite right about your previous post, though.

Well, it just shows there's no limit to what you can uncover with diligence, good fortune, lateral thinking and a visit to Wikipedia.

BTW, the original remit of MMI was to give lesser-known members of the community their moment in the sun. Back in days of yore it was actually possible to be an active hootooer and not know just about everybody else on the site. If numbers do start to boom again, maybe MMI will have a new lease of life - but I think that may be a job for a new Mr Inquisitor...

Well, you've shaped the role so maybe it's time to look for an apprentice ?
(I am not volunteering)

Awix Posted Jul 4, 2011
My last apprentice very much made the role his own, but then he cleared off to become a blogger (which is why I've been dragged out of retirement). Hopefully a likely candidate will present him or herself!

There are lots of clever and witty people here on h2g2, so I hope somebody will take it on if you really want to quit.
You know I've loved this column (I agree, Psycorp was a worthy apprentice, it was through him that I got to know the column and became a fan).

Mr D would be good at it, I reckon. Didn't he do that Agony Pirate thing?
