I was only in Blackpool once. I think I was about 10 then. Seemed ok, but quite like a lot of other seasidey towns.
You're backing up my suspicions about sat-navs, though. Like lots of other servants in history they resent their masters, and it seems to be an open secret that they long to do them in. 
(And "occupied 6 counties"? You didn't pick that kind of talk up from the neighbours! )
