ok i've updated the entry. there are loads of researcher comments. they are scattered through the method section. i've put back in some stuff on the two chopstick methods, more accurately now however, and that's the main thing researcher's really commented on.
i have also change the conclusion, combined a few things, atken a couple of bits out. once u see the entry u'll see what 've done.
hope u like it!

That's great!
Totally transformed - before I was a little uncertain about it, but you've turned it into one of the best entries I've read this week!
Just one tiny nitpick - consider whether you can get away without the conclusion, and leave people on the comment about scooping with a prawn cracker or similar.
But yeah - good work

thanks!
i've taken ou the conclusion. after including all the researcher opinions the conclusion wasn't really necessary anyway.

Yes, spook, it is looking much better now.
A couple of tiny nitpicks - given the way the topic is now presented, the title could be more accurate, eg 'How to eat Chinese food', although this doesn't sound as cute as the present title.
Secondly, the prongs of forks are properly called 'tines' and there don't have to be four. I have some three tined forks!

Nice entry!
I was born in China, and lived there for about 7 years. In my time there, I have never used forks. Forks and knives were a new experience to me when I came to England. I can't really think of a situation when we have had to use the fork instead of chopsticks/spoon. But from my 7 years experience, forks were a rarity.
Just to comment on something discussed earlier, I am pretty sure that Chinese people do not stake food with chopsticks - the food is always picked up with the chopsticks. Once it is transferred to one's own bowl, then it is usually shovelled into the mouth.

ZSF - i've changed prongs to tines, and have changed that sentence slightly. i haven't changed the title, as i think that a change of title would take away a small effect of the entry and i think posing a question in the title makes people begin to think and makes the entry seem more interesting.
thanks for the comments!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

I'm editing the entry for the Guide:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A880021
I think I have to agree with Zarquon's Singing Fish that the title doesn't quite make it with this entry and 'Eating Chinese Food' would be more to the point and more appropriate. There is no resolution to the entry, as such, and somehow - along the way - the discussion is more about the benefits or disadvantages of using certain implements to eat Chinese food rather than whether they genuinely alter the experience - which is just a part of the overall.
I've added a few informational notes to fill out the entry a little (the comments about Confucious and the fact that certain Asian locales also favour the hands over using a utensil).

Exactly. That's why the current title is correct. 'Eating Chinese Food' would be an inaccurate description of the contents of the entry...

I had meant to say:
'How to Eat Chinese Food'
- but, alas, was foiled by the lack of an edit button in this darn posts.

i think the resent title works better then the new suggested title, as it asks a question, and gives information and points of few, and leaves the reader to make up their own mind. 'How to Eat Chinese Food' doesn't have that added question effect and sounds a little more plain and boring. IMO anyway.

i put that? i guess i forgot i'd put ivory in the entry. ivory is out of th question probably in this country, but not in others. i relied on materials of chopsticks from the edited h2g2 entry alread n the guide, and since it is an edited entry i have great confidence on the information the entry gave being accurate.
hopefully that explains it.
