I like to be able to read what's on the screen, rather than having it covered in coloured boxes.

But that's the delight of having multiple skins, we can pick what's appropriate or pleasing. And I actually use Alabaster because Plain is too broken now.

I can see why Plain is broken, and it should be easy enough to fix. It's mainly caused by extra spaces being inserted into the code.

I think what Pastey meant to say back in Posting 20 was:

The login system is now set up and will take you to your homepage with your preferences set. So, if you've been sensible and stylish, you'll get Goo. If you've bizzarely chosen any of the other skins, you'll get those.

Anyone who's not registered with the site, or who is logged out, will currently get Brunel. Although if I can find out how, you're all getting Goo<<

I think Pastey means that he's finished coding the login bit, but because the BBC still have the keys to h2g2 we can't start using it yet.

We'll only be on different servers, the rest will be the same as before, so if you know how to change your name on BBC h2g2 you'll know how to change it on h2g2.com

You can change your name the same way as you do it here - the Preferences button. Apart from the actual login part, the rest of the site will look, work, and feel the same as it does now.
