It is such an obvious fact, and yet, I think it should be included in the Guide because of the strange and definate way it is embedded in the culture of the Earth, such as another question: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"

HUmmm that wasn't my responce. If this is a serious attempt to get in the edited guide then then may I draw your attention to these words on the Peer Review Homepage.. "Peer Review is not the place for ..........one-liners, jokes or personal theories"
Also to get in the edited guide the non approved guide ML ie the smilies would have to go..
Not to say that there isn't a place in the guide for an entry on this point but I think you would need to include more about the joke, such as perhaps a little about the history or the numberous variations of it.
Also it is one of the least offensive and least funny jokes known to man

"Strange and definite way it is embedded in the culture of the earth".That's good writing!I repeat,Laughed Out Loud, because of the bathos.Defining and discussing cultural concepts, beliefs and practices is a perfectly respectable area of academic enquiry, and no reason why it shouldn't be pursued in an entertaining way.
But,okay, there just isn't enough content to warrant a Guide Entry,as it stands. It is up to Nerd42 to provide us with more,if this is to be a serious contender.
Regards to all
Tom

"Strange and definite way it is embedded in the culture of the earth".
Good writing is it? The Earth has no more culture than Venus or Mars. Now if it had been the culture of the World, that would have been better writing.
"Defining and discussing cultural concepts, beliefs and practices is a perfectly respectable area of academic enquiry."
So it is. But a one line joke that every body and his dog has heard before and nothing else hardly does that does it.

Nerd42, you've been around here a while, why are you still submitting newbie entries to PR? Please remove it.

I think it would be best to let him remove it himself, if he doesn't in the next few days then count it as 2nded and send the email. (i won't be in the country, so you can have the honour)

I have learned how to remove an unfinished article from peer review from this thread.
For live chat it is helpful to have my conversations window open. It is refreshed every two minutes so you can reply if anyone is posting to your threads.
