Hi,
I propose to create the position of Sitter-Arounder. This position will be filled by an agent of extraordinary cunning, one who is able to handle his drink, and who is extremely dextrous with comms equipment.
The job involves sitting around in pubs and bars, hoping to overhear gossip, news or World War Ultimata. This can then be relayed to anyone who cares using the latest comms devices.
I hereby nominate myself for the post of Sitter-Arounder. Any seconders?
PS: My codename is Eagle.
PPS: If there aren't any seconders, can I have a job anyway, please?
