for this Gnomon. Always good to get feedback and know everyone enjoyed themselves.
I certainly did.
Just that the Trafalgar experience appeared to be long and drawn out. I was conscious of the fact that there were a number of Intercontinentals who may be unaware of what is around Trafalgar Square, and it's importance, as well as a few who may not have appreciated (or managed) a route march up The Strand and Fleet Street, so I was catering for all tastes.
Also it was very last minute, having previously offered to plan something but getting no response. I don't think a walk is something I would organise again.
Also I have realised that a) I'm not cut out as a tour guide, and b) I don't have the stamina for such a long walk. If there is a next time, I'll stick to mooching around houses, galleries and gardens and leave it to others to plan treks across London.
Pleased Sunday and Monday went well.

Thanks B'El, and enjoy your weekend. You deserve it.
And I'm not fretting or upset. Honest.
Gnomon, thank you for your honesty.
It is not the type of event I usually plan, and I am not good at it and I accept that.
The criticism is definitely fair.
I prefer a more fluid, relaxed, casual event.
Maybe I was just too intense on information rather than the social approach for this meet.
I take no offence or slight on the afternoon. I just did the best I could in the time given.
Next year is a fresh slate and a new event, so get your thinking caps on as to your preferred event and organiser.
And please, Gnomon, I am not upset by your comments. I will know better, if I get to arrange the event, for next time. Assuming I dare put myself in the running for organising a walking tour event again, which I very much doubt.
I'll stick with what I'm comfortable with!

*Now where did I put my London for free guide again?*
Thanks for the write-up.

I liked the fact we stayed in the same area for a while - made it easy to scoop up late-comers.
