Cheers, Dave.

I need to sit down and do one big update this week, so I'll stick them in then.

I notice these still haven't been included ... they were written by Bebel Matman. I did draw your attention to them, but they were languishing in the middle of a conversation thread so you might have glossed over them. Anyway, I've reposted them here;

Bolfracks- An amalgamation of the main swearwords used when exasperated, suddenly fused together when banging one's knee on the corner of a table in the presence of a vicar. Or Grandmother.

Dry Doddington- The old soak who is *always* on the same stool in the same local pub, seeming to be constantly drinking, but never actually getting drunk at all.

Whitgitt- One who takes such joy in correcting even the tiniest of lingual mistakes that he actually uses the words "methinks" and "verily" with a jaunty jester-like cocked head while correcting you. Just before you hit him.

Itchen Abbas- The fumbling with keys in one's pocket while unsuccessfully attempting to not let the attractive person you're talking to realise you're actually scratching a very sensitive area.

Hill of Beath- The degree to which a hill seems steeper, a distance longer etc after 10 pints of lager.

Tavernspite- The effect of walking into a small village pub where you're not a local. Magically, all conversation dies as the local yokels focus their entire inbred energies on generating a magical atmosphere of unease to make you feel unwelcome. In severe cases, a pianist will stop playing and a glass will be smashed.

Lendalfoot- The result of killing all feeling in one foot by sitting on it or resting your other foot on it, and not realising until you try to stand on it, ending up in a crumpled whimpering heap.

Buttercrambe- To ineffectually try to scrape the remnants of toast and crumpet from the surface of butter or margarine to throw away, merely resulting in burying the crumbs further deeper into the marg.
