I think your inability to remember any theme song from the show is that it has become impossible to include the word theme with either Starsky or Hutch ........... have you ever thought though, that perhaps it is your whistling that is to blame and that the song might actually sound different were it humme by someone else ... I often ponder such things myself ... even if I can whistle .. well, when I say whistle, I actually mean hum ...... if I could carry a tune that was .... perhaps I should take up humming the theme to Starsky and Hutch, apparently there is no requirement for any talent whatsoever associated with any form of the show .......

Search kazaa for "James Taylor Quartet". They recorded a really cool jazzed up version.
