yep, 5 hours...
I had to do two years of 12 hours a week - plus huge amounts of reading.
Slacker!
Catwoman Posted Oct 4, 2002
Oh no, 12 hours.
I'll give you my count when I get it, see if you faint.
Slacker!
Catwoman Posted Oct 7, 2002
Well I haven't got my practicals yet, but I do have to get up for 9am lectures 3 times a week.
Slacker!
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Oct 7, 2002
practicals? what do you study?
I had 9ams last year (at least 4, sometimes 5 a week)
didn't always get to them o'course
Slacker!
Catwoman Posted Oct 8, 2002
Biology mostly.
I have (adds up)
12 hrs of lectures
10 1/4 hrs of practicals
4 hrs of supervisions
=
26 1/4 hrs of scheduled time a week.
3 hrs of that is sat morning
Supervisions are in the evening, after 6.
Lots, huh? And that doesn;t include work outside those times (which we have to do, cos we're set 'homework' in the lectures)

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Oct 9, 2002
timewise yeah...
but I have to read half the library (and that's the half that's never there...)
Slacker!
Catwoman Posted Oct 10, 2002
Medics steal books (or they did, about three years ago) so some of the books they use (and us biologists) are in a locked room that you can only get to when the library staff are there, which is 9-5, and you're only allowed to keep them for one day.

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Oct 10, 2002
what fun...
see, we have all these "short loan" books - cos our library's pants and has less than no useful books, everything therefore that might be helpful is kept there - you have to book the book you want (no more than 2 at a time) and then you can have it for 4 hours, or overnight (or weekend, if you get in in time to book it!)

Catwoman Posted Oct 10, 2002
Our library's good if you don't want the locked up books (damn those theiving medics!)
Slacker!
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Oct 10, 2002
but that's what medics are like...
one of my (medic) friends nicked the local school sign last year to give to one of his "children" as a raisin reciept...

Aww, lovely. We have blue ones with velvet bits (v posh) but unfortunately no characters form children's books.
