Just a few points regarding the Hedgewitch page (and main Witchcraft link page).

It is impossible for Christians to be witches of any sort. Christian doctrine states there is only one god; the god in their book. Wicca is a Goddess centred religion. The Triple Goddess is equal with the Horned God, but always comes first. (The Horned God is NOT the same as any other God, by the way.)

Whereas Christianity perceives sexuality to be something risque that should only be done by husband and wife, behind closed doors, terming anything else as "lust" or "adultery", Wicca sees sex as the most natural and purest thing that you can do. The Wiccan celebrations throughout the year are all about the stages in the relationship of the Goddess and the God.

The trouble with Wiccan literature is that anyone can write the word "Wicca" on a book regardless of the morals it contains. Selfish magic is magic, but it's not Wicca. I would, however, thoroughly recommend the book "Hedgewitch" (called "The Wiccan Path" in America) to anyone who wants to know anything about Wicca, from the fundamentals to becoming a witch yourself (ISBN 0-89594-744-7).

For a guide to Wiccan morals the "Wiccan Rede" can be found online but the bottom line of Wicca is "An' it harm none, do as ye will".

You are relating hedge witches to Wiccans only, when Wiccan are only one of many paths. Even within Wiccan groups there is a lot of variation, and some accept the traditional belief of there being one spirit, and many faces of it.

As many hedge witches are primarily into herbal rather than ritual magic you will find that many are Christians. I think you may be thinking of solitary wiccans as hedge witches.
