yep... that's why we hope that the LDers space U201567 in h2g2 will be ONE way for peeps from LeisureDistrict/Yoome2 to keep in touch with those who won't be able to access Yoome2 [eg NTL and PC users]...

i say ONE way because from what i understand there are 2 or 3 other websites where LDers also meet...

we will try to get as much info as possible so that the LD online community members can keep in touch with each others as much as possible...

BTW Researcher 203656 what is your username on LD?!...

I'm a sad today. They've put the firewall up again. I can't see LD in glorious colour anymore!

i'm afraid that's something i didn't even have a chance to experience, my area had the firewalls kept up all the time... ...

but at least my digibox is behaving relatively ok these last days...

had a few enquiries about the magic emails through private messaging so we should see a few more LDers here soon...
i think a few of them feel intimidated by this big site but with some encouragements they should eventually take the plunge...

i might have a look from a cybercaf' before it's impossible for pc users to access the site...

and during that short time of firewalls being down peeps were also able to access yahoo and google... ...

it should not be too bad for the first months but after that i might just stay on light chat to be still able to show my name and keep in touch with the few remaining friends who haven't used the magic email yet...

maxi-chat doesn't appeal to me somehow... so i won't pay the extra fee for that... and then my kids won't be able to access it either... hehe... [they're very good at guessing my passwords!!!!!!!]

what bugs me too is that all the quotes in library gonna disappear... some of them had some important info in them...

Hi again Loup . I've got an e-mail for another chat site tucked away somewhere. If you want to drop me a line in LD (I use the same name in there) i'll forward it to you.

I also had the use of Google and Yahoo, also MSN msgng and a HOTMAIL addy All is lost now tho.

yes it would be great to have all these info... what i really hope really is that whoever are in charge for these sites give us news/updates etc... on a regular basis...

that would be a good PR for them and some news for the LDers here...

i wanted to be the first one doing that...

you know... kind of a "told you so"... re: me saying that what we experienced on LD these last months was not very encouraging about what to expect for the future with yoome2 [yoomedia having taken control of LD ages ago...]...

but i can't... i can't even access my interactive this weekend so won't be able to investigate yoome2 further either...

yep... TWO digiboxes and no interactive on any of them at the mo'...

phoned T.WEST on saturday... they told me a technician would get in touch with me [by phone] within 24 hours... yesterday evening was well over 24 hours... no phone call from TW and still no interactive...

phoned this morning... oh surprise... something wrong with the network...

not a very happy loup...

i do hope it will be fixed by christmas...

will try to get pc access as much as i can... but not a convenient option... with the holidays and all... the local library will be closed of course... and my budget might not strech that far as using my favourite cybercaf' every day...

You would have thought that with having two boxes, you were pretty much safe from having to do without, especially over Christmas

You'll probably get the claptrap that as interactive is free(?!) that they're not classed as emergencies and you're not a priority case unless it affect's your TV service(I got it when my interactive was down).

I won't say how long it was down, don't want to scare you

i wanted to use the holidays to catch up on a few things/projects... and of course with the TVemails being part of interactive i can't forward the ones i needed to print to my account at the cybercaf... very inconvenient indeed...

mmmm... might be back to the good old pen and paper for a while... will try to save some time that way...

on a more cheerful note... i've done a googlism search on loup.dargent and loup... _might_ cut and paste the results with my comments next time i visit my cybercaf'... at least that was fun...

It's a shame you can't access the activemail account from the web, but that would be an improvement and that's against TW policy

I had a look at my googlism(when the firewall was down), some surprising results

yep... had to do more than one for my username... haven't done dargent yet... or my aliases... mmmm... now that's a thought...

mmmm... i wonder if i can do another search before my pc access time is over... naaah might just do it next time...

the TVemail thing is very inconvenient...
