Hey,

I must admit i had never heard of this person before.Your article looks like a good start. It is however a bit hard to read as it is. Maybe add some subheadings and split it into smaller paragraphs, especially that last part. maybe some bullet points of the musicals she was in.

Hope this helps. good work smiley - smiley

SI smiley - cheers

Are you working on this entry, Opti?smiley - smiley

"at this time she started suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. Her last film was 1972 The Wrath of God and she made a well- publicised appearance on The Carol Burnett Show towards the end of her career. In 1980 Hayworth was diagnosed from suffering from Alzheimer's disease"

needs sorting.

Not bad...

Just: "...also pushed her through electrolysis believing that by raising her hairline she would appear more beautiful. Columbia finally... undertaking electrolysis to raise her hairline."

It reads as if her early career was marked by electrolysis. Or did you just mix up the phrases during editing?

Speaking of electrolysis... How'd ya raise hairline by electrolysis?

(I am imagining a 50's style lab - big knobs and electric sparks - with a bathtub, rita in it, and electrodes around her head... And of course a mad-hairdresser rubbing his hands and squeaking with a fake German accent: Eeee-GOR, more Energy)

This may be completely tangential, but the only time I've ever heard of Rita Hayworth before was in connection to the film "The Shawshank Redemption". That being because Stephen King's original short story upon which the film is based is called "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption", and the first poster that Tim Robbins' character gets to hide the tunnel out of his cell is of Rita Hayworth.

Sho - employed again!

I was going to say that it might be good to give a mention of the film / story, because it underlines her popularity as a pin up.

I'm sure the "house style" police will be along soon to talk about style, grammar and so on (since that is their job smiley - smiley) but for now I'll say smiley - ok - nice entry!

(I knew she was an actress, but I hadn't realised she was a dancer first - that would explain her fantastic legs)
