This is my first attempt at an entry to the guide. I hope the instructions are clear enough to allow the uninitiated to play the game and that it meets the Writing Guidelines. It was a lot of silly fun to play when I was a callow youth living unsupervised and amoung like minded friends.

Interesting - I've heard of this game, though I can't recall if it used the same words...

Well it's an interesting topic, variations on this as a drinking game have been floating around the union bar for quiet a while, as long as I can remember and I'm now a fourth year. Except we say differnt words. YOu might want to mention that it's played regually with different words.
According to the Writing guideline A53209 things for the edited guide have to be in first person so the couple of references to I at the begining will have to go.
YOu might also want to mention that this is usally played as a drinking game, frankly it would be pretty dull otherwise.
Technical points as the title is at the top of the page when you're reading an entry there's no need to to repet the title in capitals.
Secondly have you considered putting the entry into guide ML? if not why not read the Guide ML clinc for a bit more detail on it.. you can find the clinic at...A187229
I'm sure with a tiny bit of work this will be picked.

As Z said (although Edited guide material should *not* be in first person)

Sorry. Been unable to reach my computer for awhile. I'm guilty of a splivich for hesitation.
A drinking game of course although in the sixties the forfit was more herbal in nature.

Thanks for the advice. I have changed to guideML,deleted the redundant title, added a few bits and removed the offending first person references. I would have liked to colour code the game words but bold was the best I could figure out how to do.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

You won't see much of the editing process Perhaps the SubEd contacts you for some questions, perhaps not. It's best to go search for a copy of the entry and... oh wait: there it is: A885486 ... and subscribe to it ('Click here to be notified of new Conversations...') so you don't miss anything posted there. At the moment the copy is owned by Ashley but this will change when it's sent out to a SubEd. It'll be back with the h2g2 Editors in some 4 to 5 weeks and on the frontpage in ?? weeks from then. All the details are at EditedGuide-Process
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

"Perhaps the SubEd contacts you for some questions..."
Indeed he does
The subbed Entry is, as Bossel said, at A885486. Let me know if you spot anything you'd like changing, otherwise I'll send it back to the Editors.
