A few years ago some Mongolians visited Dublin and gave a concert which included dancing, chanting, horsehair fiddles and overtone singing, and even a demonstration Buddhist monks' debate; quite amazing.
Overtone singing seems to work on the same principle as the trump (mouth fddle / jews harp - though never associated with the Jewish people). These Mongolians produced an incredible volume and a sound that combined beauty with the beast!
