Believe me, this is *everything* I could find on this subject - it's taken me three weeks to track down somewhere that has a downloadable version of the advert in question.
(and yes, it *is* difficult trying to get that last nail in when you try to crucify yourself )
Now if only I could find a free download of the music on the ad, I'd be a happy bunny.

Ah yes, *that* ad
I've just spent a rather pleasant 15 minutes or so watching Arkwright's dog, "Do you know the piano's on my foot", "And then they smash them all to bits", amongst others
I had no idea this ad was done by Gerry Anderson. It certainly deserves an entry.
A couple of things that need tidying up...
www.bbc.co.uk/cult/anderson/thunderbirds/ should be Thunderbirds
"But prior to this, Anderson worked in advertising, creating adverts for television. But by the late 1970s..." Too many 'but's I think. You could simply begin the first sentence without the 'but', or reword it thusly "Prior to this however, Anderson had worked in..."

It's still in copyright, of course. But there's a big choice of recordings available to buy.

Or you might get it on R3 or ClassicFM

Actually, when I checked the link from the office, the video file that pops up didn't have sound, but I've just checked it again at home and it *does* have the music on it - yeehah!
(and yes, there are loads of other fab ads from the past there too)

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
