I think we need some new regiments, or maybe we need to develop some teams. Maybe Night Watch or something like that...

"Don't panic! Don't panic!"
I always knew there was a picture missing off the Terranic main page... theres a pic around somewhere I think...
"*runs around alarmed, occassionally tripping over his undone shoelaces, which for some reason he thinks of as being 'danglehangers*"
Danglehangers? Is that a technical term?

creachy Posted Jan 25, 2006
Danglehangers is the name of shoelaces to a 3 year old. My niece, bless 'er
You've got a picture of Dad's Army, cool
I reckon we should concentrate on getting people posting here again first, what do you reckon. I think everyone is pretty much subscribed to the Signing In Room thread

I'm here, so will this be incarnation number 3 or are we continuing where 2 left off

Terran Posted Jan 25, 2006
Well technically this is Terranic Army : revision 354 Apple beta mark 16 version 12
But really since this is the original page, it just regigging things again! But reusing the old threads is a good idea... but I'm not going to do what I did before, blitzing the whole Terranic Army getting people interested and then getting worn out and losing interest...
I think the whole Vogan thing again is a good idea

Well, I thought I'd just start chatting away on the Sign In thread, get some general interest raised and await some kind of Vogon attack fleet to spur everyone into the kind of action usually reserved for a Wilfred Owen memoir.
But before that, I was gonna go get some shut eye, dream about talking parsnips, kill em all as unholy deviants and start posting tomorrow lunchtime when the servers are renowned for their EFFICIENCY<-------(can you spot the sarcasm)

I've been backwards and forwards across the great h2g2 void. I've read things that would make your eyes stick out (advice about improving your eyesight by putting your eyes on sticks - not a good idea), but that is THE BEST ADVICE I HAVE EVER HEARD. Well except that bit about the servers... Go forth in all your beliefs and sleep!

*turns around and comes back in*
Ummmm.... Where is the signing in room again?
(PS. I got to get back into the swing of things... I forget all the smilies and stuff...)

"Hello, thank you for calling the Senior Officers Quarters. We are currently unavailable at this time so please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible!"
*pause*
Hello Senior Officers, It is Major Gangorlas calling from the Signing in Room. I have just had someone come in that is interested in joining the Terranic Army. I gave her the form to fill out so if you will be so kind to either send someone down to finish the application process or give me the authority to assign her to a regiment and finish the application myself it would be greatly appreciated. She looks like a very reliable asset to the Army. Thank you in advance and call me with more details so we can get her application processed quickly! Have a nice afternoon!

Right, as I'm pretty senior (both in rank and in years (damn, that's scary, it IS actually years of service*shudder*) of service, I'll take her into my regiment for the time being. Can somebody find me an NCO?
