Hi folks,
I thought I'd drop this in to see if anyone has any ideas to add to it. It seems a bit flat to me but I can't remember much more than that. Also I just want everyone to know about it!

I never heard about this at the time, so a big THANKYOU for keeping me informed.
Are you familiar with 'Shout "Gouranga!"; be happy!'
similar principle preached by Hari-Krishna monks: I'm not into the chanting and orange duds, but i can't deny a certain uplifting feeling i get when i shout Gouranga with all the enthusiasm in can muster.
anyways, you planning to got into pr with this? "Why not?", I say.

Thanks for the comment - nice to know it's not just me that thinks it's funny.
I'm not Mr. PR, and I'm resoundingly not Mr. Self-Help Book (those things really get my hackles up). However I have to admit that saying "Go you big red fire engine!" out loud when I'm stressed does ease the tension a bit (I have - I'm embarrassed to say - actually done this). Mostly I just think it's a good story.
Any suggestions for revision?

Well, this entry is lovely! "The power of stupidity and optimism over reality." Wow.
I agree with Spiff that the entry is basically complete and ready for Peer Review. It won't get a terrible lot of attention here in Writing Workshop, you see, but since it's not blatantly a 'work in progress', you could pull it out of the Workshop and submit it to Peer Review, where everyone and their dog will see it. Probably get a lot more feedback there.
In other words.... GO, YOU BIG RED FIRE ENGINE!!!
