A Conversation for A Story About Albert Brooks (well, kind of)

Too little and perhaps too late..

I note with some dismay that no one else has yet ventured to comment on your story. Let me hasten to assure you however, that I am not now doing so out of any sort of empathetic, sympathetic or even just plain pathetic attempt at being 'nice'. I don't do 'nice'.

Fact is, I am probably one of a handful at this site who might even know who Albert Brooks is. And that's Albert's fault. A very low key and unpresupposing genius of humour who never got his fair share of attention or fame. That's probably just as well though, because Fame is not all it's cracked up to be and Albert doesn't deserve the dark side of that equation.

Nope, the only reason I'm posting is to ask if you really, really actually saw him, in the flesh as it were. I do understand that much of your story was fabricated in a very active and fertile imagination which I hereby applaud heartily. But as I was attracted here by a title which promised news (any news of Albert Brooks is an irresistable lure to any true Albert Brooks fan) I am now at a loss to know if this part of your story has any basis in reality or is like your saddlebags just blowing in the wind.

As a true AB fan, I can be just as easily satisfied with fantasy sightings as much as by Real Life anecdotes. I just like to keep them in separate piles.
