About average, I would say.
Two of the three worst hangovers I've ever had have been the result of Scottish h2g2 meet-ups.

One of my worst hangovers was at my very first Scottish meetup. I'm all proud!

*Takes a bow*
Someone's got to keep the reputation of the Scots being a bunch of no-good drunks going...!

So do we need to book in advance for the fabulous Science Centre discount, or can we just forewarn them and roll up on the day?

SCIENCE CENTER!!!
DD and I actually went, but the center was closed, so all we could do was go into the IMAX thingy... but through the door it looked cooool... but then I'm an ex-scientist, so I would say that!
And I bloody well hope I'm gonna be there with you guys!

Being an ex-scientist is one thing. I remember working in the Physics Department as people waltzed round with balloons and booze to celebrate the fact they would get to build the thing. And I never got even a crisp. Scarred me for life it did.

I've been to the Science Centre before, so if I come I can be irritating and know what all the best stuff is.

Don't be daft, this is the Scottish meet-up discussion, we haven't decided anything yet.
General opinion seems to be that we're going to the science centre. Someone, somewhere will have a link to a relevant website, he said hopefully.

We've had several votes for the science center and virtually no other suggestions, so I'm just going with the flow here. I asked about group bookings, and technically we should book numbers 24 hrs in advance. However, I was told that for smaller groups, say between 10 and 20, it would probably be ok just to turn up, or book in the morning sometime.
Meeting up - can I suggest the Counting House? Easy to find, big and more to the point, I'm meeting some other people there earlier and it saves me moving
In the evening, how about Waxy O' Conners? Just off Buchanan St, and has at least three different levels. Other suggestions?

give me a street to find the Counting House on?
then I can be reasonably sure I'll get there.

Counting House is quite easy to find, look on the corner of George Square and St Vincent place. Or one block south of Queen St station. The tricky bit is usually finding where people are in the pub...
