Entry: The Space Matrix - A804179
Author: The Paladin - U200435
This is a piece of information that is a recent discovery by NASA.
I checked to see If there was any information about this Matrix on h2g2 and found it missing.
I hope this will aid other researchers.

This is a very interesting topic, but I think the article needs more information, maybe examples, to make it into the edited guide. Also I think you might want to take it easy on the pictures, a few are always nice, but you have too many compared to the amount of text.
Perhaps you could get more info from the NASA web site. I can't remember what the moderation rules are at the moment, but you might also be able to put a link to it.
Keep working on it, I think this could be a brilliant article.

Thank you for your advice.
I have only just got my first pc,so as soon as I am connected to the internet I
will check out their website.
Examples of use of the matrix would be hard to come by as they have only just discovered it,but perhaps I can find out about the approxamate savings to the Space program if they were to use it on for example the upcomeing Mars mission.
I'll have to see what I can find out.

You could go into more detail about the slingshot effect, or use some theorectical examples. The website might have some ideas, i'll take a look.

This entry made me curious and confused so I did a search on the internet for information on the 'space matrix' and found nothing. It sounds interesting, but I feel the entry doesn't give a good enough explanation. If I actually understood what this 'space matrix' was I would give more advice.

Hi,
I've got a question.
Is it ok to edit this entry while it is under peer review?
I found some info to add thanx to my last peer about gravitational relationships and I'm now investigateing another avenue about the slingshot effect.
I wish I'd known about this ability earlier.

Yes, it's totally okay.
Some people in Peer Review don't like it when entries are very much changed while in Peer Review.
But I like that much more than entries that have been left abandonned here for weeks or months.

Hi Paladin,
(I hate doing this, but...)
The basic idea of Peer Review is that entries should be considered finished before they are submitted. If they require just a few tweaks, as recommended by visitors to Peer Review, then they are allowed to stay in. But if an entry needs substantial work, it's considered good manners to remove the entry from Peer Review and submit it once the rewrite is finished...
This entry needs a lot more work to it, I'm afraid. The reason I say this is that, while it's more than fine to use other sources in your research, your entry bears too close a resemblence to the CNN article you've posted here to be considered your own work. The first paragraph contains phrases that are identical to that of CNN's Richard Stenger. In effect, this is just a precis of that article.
[This is explained in greater detail in section 12 of the Writing Guidelines - A53209]
If you could find some more information about this phenomenon from other sources and rewrite the existing paragraphs in the entry to the degree that it isn't just a summary of the points, I think this would be a superb entry. I wasn't aware of this discovery and I think you've definitely picked a fascinsting topic - just needs a little careful rewrite.
Sorry to be so negative, but with a bit of work this'll make a superb entry and it'll have all been worth it.
Regards,
Jimster

Go to the Peer review page and click on the 'x' or the word 'remove' next to your entry's listing.

That is NASAs press release on the subject. It might help a bit too.
It seems this is still in peer review, so it seems you didn't click on the right cross. There should be one next the this entry on the PR list.

The only X on the pr page is below the subject and it takes me back to my own page and the Remove thing is still not working as I have just tried again.

Hi Paladin, I could see you were having some trouble, so I removed it for you.
For future reference though, if you're using the Alabaster skin (the green and orange one), you should find the word 'remove' at the very end of the row that your entry is on in Peer Review. If you're using the new Brunel skin (the one with lots of black backgrounds and flat colour sections with tiny rivets on), the word 'remove' is replaced by a small x (you might have to scroll to the far right of the screen to see it, depending on the size of your screen).
As you're fairly new, I'm guessing you're not using the oldest 'Classic' skin, but that should be the same as Alabaster.
Regards,
Jimster
