Rosslyn Chapel near Edinburgh in Scotland is thought to be one possible site for the burial/hiding place of the Holy Grail.Built in 1446 by the St Clair family it has strong connections with the Knights Templar. It was once a place of pilgrimage to the vaults deep beneath the Chapel In the vaults uncoffined barons of the St Clair family were buried in full armour`
In the mid 1990s there was a great deal of interest and surface metal detection located a large metal oblong object deep below the earth. The vaults contain a secret and this is just one of the many secrets surrounding the Knights Templar who fled France in 1309 after being denounced/dissolved by the Pope The Templars fled to Britain, many to Scotlan because of the connection between French and Scottish royal houses via intermarriage to the French houses of Guise and Lorraine and thus felt safer there. It is speculated that they continued to perform their ancient rites and keep the format of their original Order by becoming Lodges of Freemasonry
