Hello Ottawan's! I am Mudhooks (Anneke). Lived in Ottawa most of my life, born in Wakefield, Quebec. No matter where I go, I always come back to Ottawa. I do history research for a private company but have had many, many different jobs. I have worked retail (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F19585?thread=269574 ), in the National Museums, and for CIDA, amongst other things. I once was warned by one of my high school principals that I had to "specialize", had to make up my mind what I wanted to do. "After all" he said, "A Jack-of-all-trades is a master of none". In fact, I have gotten every one of my jobs specifically because I have had such widely diverse experiences. Thinking "outside the box" has stood me in good stead. Glad to meet y'all....
