I've had an entry with 'hir' in picked before now, so that sets a precedent. And the sub-ed rewrote it then, and whoever gets it to sub will probably rewrite it this time too, assuming sie agrees with the last sub's decision.

I wouldn't say "the glass if half full".

I might say "the glass contains 284ml". If it's a pint pot.

Heisenberg would say that it's impossible to determine the volume with infinite precision, so in the end it's uncertain.

Another thought: The glass is always full, full with atoms.

Plus: What is the *fundamental character* of empty? Can something be totally empty? Vacuum? How much vacuum did you put in there?

And: It also depends what it is that's in there. Socrates would have preferred a half-filled cup...

solutions to a half empty/full glass:

if u considor it to be half empty, drink what's left and make it completely empty.

if u considor it to be half full, pour the contents into a smaller glass so that u have a full glass, or add more of the contents to the present glass.

i don't think there is anything good or bad about how people biew the glass, but it is simply the direction in which they see the glass taking - either becoming empty or becoming full.

i think u can recommend articles if u r a contributor, just not if u r the editor. a while back i recommended an entry i was a contributor off. i noticed that most scouts were contributors to that entry which was probably why it hadn't already been recommended.
