MMF, How strange, I was sorting out late husband's tools and bits and bobs and found a block of Tulip tree wood clearly labelled! Knew nothing about it so thanks for this.

Hope it helped identify which type. Was it the American or Chinese tulip tree wood?
I have photos of all the trees in the entry, bar one. Hope to get that this Spring, if I can twist the Curator's arm..
