Ok, I think this is more what to do than what not to do; A326071, some advice on how to survive a camping safari.

The international language of travellers is alcohol. But like all good things... 
So when you need your space simply switch to straight coke for a day or two. In Africa it is recommended to drink coke from bottles. The locals seem to be highly impressed by this unique glass shape and attribute great power to it, and by extension, to anyone seen sucking one. The empties make excellent bribes and gifts.
If you were thinking of travelling to Quebec I would recommend pepsi instead of coke but that's another story, another journey, another hemisphere.
