I have to vote for this 'un to go into the Edited Guide. Not only because it is, as has been stated, crucial for any would-be cheese maker, but quite frankly because I think that "waxing the cheese" is a potentially fantastic euphemism for so many things.

"Blessed are the cheesemakers."

Bloomin 'eck does someone ALWAYS have to bring Python into the proceedings?

Any way, I really like this entry. I had always wondered about waxed cheeses and now I know. It's not too short and not too long, covers all the points and should be a great addition to the Guide.

Do you think I should rename it something like 'Why Wax a Cheese?' instead? The actual "how to wax" bit is prolly the shortest bit of the entry

It's better than removing cheese from your hairs (interpret this whichever way you like).

I've been given the honour of subbing this entry, and I'd like to thank you for providing me with such an easy job! It's a very well-written entry, and hardly anything needed changing!

The edited version is on A778197 , and all I've done is to fix one typo (on 'successful') and to add links to Edited Guide entries on Edam cheese and blue cheese. If those small changes are OK with you, I'll get the entry back to the Editors without delay!

It looks good to me One thing I mentioned a little earlier in this conversation was changing the name of the entry. It still doesn't seem quite right to me, and I would suggest something like 'Why, and How to Wax a Cheese'.

Hmm... that somehow doesn't look quite right to me, aminly because you wouldn't say 'Why to wax a cheese'. How about 'Waxing a Cheese: How and Why'?

That should, of course, have read 'mainly because...'
